What We Do
Link-Up Victoria has a 30-year history of responding to the needs of Stolen Generations and their families. All of our activities and events are aimed at providing healing to those who have suffered from the impacts of being removed or separated from family and being denied their Aboriginal identity, culture, traditional rights and traditional country. We work closely with the State Government funded Connecting Home service and will continue to partner with them on future healing activities and events.
Helping you connect
Link-Up Victoria is part of a national network of Link-Up services and can work with you to liaise with Traditional owner groups, interstate services, and other record holders all over Australia to help you to trace, locate and contact family members.
We can also support you with family research advice, and provide cultural advice and information to support you on your journey.
Support to access your records
Link-Up Victoria can help you to access records about separation from family including adoption files, records from children’s homes or other institutions.
We can also support with obtaining birth, death, and marriage certificates, or provide referrals to link you to other services.
Supporting your journey
Link-Up Victoria can provide guidance with family issues, Yarning Up (counselling) or referrals to appropriate services to support you on your journey.
We work with clients to develop a safety plan that will aim to ensure your wellbeing needs are met during your journey with us.
