About Link-Up Victoria
Link-Up Victoria was established in 1990 in response to recommendations laid out in the 1987 Bringing Them Home report; which confirmed that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children were separated from their families and culture through forced removal and being fostered, adopted or raised in institutions.
Link-Up supports Stolen Generations – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, aged 18 and over and living in Victoria - who were removed from their family, we also support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people who are searching for family who were adopted or fostered. We support Stolen Generations to find and reunite with family, reconnect with Culture, and proudly walk on their traditional Country.
Link-Up Victoria is part of a national network of Link Up services providing reunions for members of the Stolen Generations. These reunions help create connections to family, Culture and Country to encourage healing and give survivors a sense of who they are and where they belong.
