The 17th Anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations

Samuel C/

On 13 February we recognised the 17th Anniversary of the National Apology to the Stolen Generations, paying our respects to Stolen Generations survivors and those who have passed on to the Dreaming.

Hosted by VACCA, Link-Up Victoria, the City of Darebin and Connecting Home, the event took place at the Darebin Town Hall and featured speakers including Zoe Upton (Deputy Chair Connecting Home), Aunty Muriel Bamblett (VACCA CEO) and City of Darebin Mayor, Councillor Kristine Olaris, with a special performance by Uncle Kutcha Edwards.

Thank you to everyone who attended the event and honoured the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations.
